Chopard has been the sponsor of Cannes Film Festival’s Trophee Chopard and maker of the Palm d’Or Trophy for The Cannes Film Festival since 1998. The Palme d’or honors the best film screened at the Cannes International Film Festival commemorating the 70th anniversary of the Cannes Film Festival and the 20th anniversary of the partnership. 

Le Petit-Fils de L.-U. Chopard & Cie S.A., generally referred to as Chopard, was founded in 1860 as a Swiss manufacturer and retailer of luxury watches, jewelry, parfum, and accessories. Chopard is world renowned for its refined jewelry designs and unsurpassed timepieces.

The Faimined Palm d’Or Trophy is carefully handcrafted for The Cannes Film Festival.

Chopard demonstrates its corporate responsibility by sourcing its materials from suppliers openly justifying conscientious practices on both social and environmentally friendly concentrations.

The Palm d’or, whose design is a direct nod to the palm trees lining the infamous Croisette and to the Cannes coat-of-arms evoking the famous legend of Saint Honorat, is made of 118 grams of ethical Fairmined-certified 18-carat yellow gold.

The Trophee Chopard for Cannes Film Festival.

Chopard created a special Palme D’Or adorned with ‘FairMined’ diamonds atop of four select scents dedicated to successful actors and actresses.  Chopard partnered with fellow Swiss company Firmenich to concoct these particular perfumes called: Magnolia Au Vetiver du Haiti, Vetiver Haiti Au The Vert, Vanille de Madagascar and Neroli a la Cardamome du Guatemala and Alberto Morillas and Nathalie Lorson.
